Bob Wilhelm in the Spotlight

Our 2009-2010 Olathe Rotary President, Bob Wilhelm, is very positive about the accomplishments of Rotary. He points out that Rotary International is in the top .8 of all 1.4 million charities in the world. Rotary changes lives around the world and right here in Olathe, bringing hope to people who have no hope. The Olathe Rotary Club is a talented group of many of the top leaders in our community. For 72 years, The Olathe Rotary Club has helped people by supporting kids who want to go to summer camps, making it possible for high school seniors to attend college and coming to the rescue of people and families in crisis situations. He is honored to be a member of the Olathe Rotary Club.
Prior to becoming a private consultant in1999, Bob was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Unitog Company, a $350 million public uniform and apparel corporation serving the U.S and Canada.
Bob and his wife, Linda, met at Emporia State University where they both graduated. They have 2 sons, Bobby and Matt. Bob bikes about 120 miles weekly.
Bob continues to share his strategic planning, organizational development, and internal growth knowledge with Olathe Rotarians. When folks ask him what he is doing now, he says he is working full time for Rotary. You think he's kidding...but he's not!
Bob's goals this year are aggressive, but achievable:
1-Growth in the number of members to 105
2-Growth in service or volunteer hours
3-Growth in revenue by $75,000
4-Personal and professional growth
Bob believes our Rotary Club has so much talent and leadership within the ranks of its members, that when you combine this with our motto, "Service Above Self", we can accomplish anything we want to. That means our goals must be well defined to coincide with our community and global needs. Bob said, "Olathe Rotary Club #1625, what an exciting place to be"!
